Our 5th Annual Summit & Day of Action is grounded in a simple question: how can we make teaching more sustainable and better support the educators Pennsylvania needs?

Together, we’ll build on last year’s work, share ideas and experiences, and identify concrete priorities for advancing educator workforce solutions, and advocate directly with our elected officials.

Last year, we came together to imagine what a more sustainable teaching role could look like in Pennsylvania. This year, we’re taking the next step: turning those ideas into action.

The PA Needs Teachers 2026 Summit will bring together educators, policymakers, advocates, and community partners to explore how we can make teaching more sustainable and better support the educators Pennsylvania needs.

But this won’t just be a day of conversation. It will also be a day of action. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a PA Needs Teachers press conference, and engage with legislators and members of the Governor’s Office to advocate for policies that support a more sustainable teaching role and strengthen educator workforce supports across Pennsylvania.

Together, we’ll move from reimagining what’s possible to advocating for the changes needed to make it possible.

This highly participatory, full-day event will bring together a broad coalition of K-12 educators, policymakers, advocacy organizations, education leaders, and innovative non-traditional stakeholders committed to building the educator workforce Pennsylvania needs.

Summit programming, including learning sessions, group conversations, and opportunities for advocacy and action, will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
