We are a statewide coalition of organizations and individuals united behind the need to support our hardworking teachers and school staff, to provide PA's children with an education that ensures their future success and the success of our Commonwealth. #PANeedsTeachers is led by Teach Plus Pennsylvania and The National Center on Education and the Economy.
The mission of Teach Plus is to empower excellent, experienced, and diverse teachers to take leadership over key policy and practice issues that advance equity, opportunity, and student success.
In pursuing their mission, Teach Plus is guided by their Student Opportunity Mandate: All students should have the opportunity to achieve their potential in an education system defined by its commitment to equity, its responsiveness to individual needs, and its ability to prepare students for postsecondary success.
The National Center on Education and the Economy is dedicated to building broadly shared prosperity in the United States. We do this by supporting education leaders and practitioners, policymakers, researchers and community stakeholders to study, design and build equitable, high-performing, and cost-effective education and workforce development systems. The students these systems educate will be prepared to contribute to our democratic society and compete in the global economy.
